'World of Warcraft' patch 7.1 release date news: 'Legion' update rolls out on Oct. 25

World of Warcraft: Legion Blizzard Activision

Game developer Blizzard Entertainment has just announced that the latest 7.1 patch update to "World of Warcraft's" "Legion" expansion will be released on Oct. 25, and that with it comes new bosses to fight and new places to explore.

"Mark your calendars and get ready to make your Return to Karazhan on October 25! Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan will take you further into the ongoing stories within Legion and bring with it new and exciting challenges," Blizzard Entertainment announced at the official "World of Warcraft" website.

The "World of Warcraft" patch 7.1 is the first update for Blizzard Entertainment's successful "Legion" expansion that sold 3.3 million copies on the day it was released earlier this year, just before August ended.

The first major update to "World of Warcraft's" "Legion' expansion is said to take players to Karazhan, where they will be able to explore a five player mythic-level dungeon which contains nine new bosses that awaits them.

The update features the new Karazhan dungeon, a new Suramar campaign, new world quests, and a new world boss.

The Return to Karazhan patch will continue with the story of Suramar, a new mythical-level zone that lies "at the heart of the Broken Isles." What's more is that this is also the place where players will find the warlock Gul'dan as he resides in the palace of Suramar

The whole maximum-level zone is said to be a 10,000 year old ruin that would make for a great place for players to explore and level up at their own pace. The new setting is favorable for players who want to face the world boss located within the dungeon because of its multiple entrances to the underground area.

Furthermore, gamers can also play as a Nightborne for the update will let them take quests from Nightborne characters that will provide them with a disguise to avoid hostile fights at the city of Suramar.

On another note, despite a late October release, "World of Warcraft" players can now try the update on "World of Warcraft's" PTR.
