A new trailer has been released by History for the upcoming fourth season of the Irish-Canadian action series "Vikings," and with the trailer comes hints of who will be the one to put an end to Ragnar Lothrbrok's reign.

Feb. 18, 2016 will be the date that "Vikings" fans will see the first episode of the fourth season of the tale of Viking empires and Viking warlords going against each other. The release date has been preceded by many talks of Travis Fimmel, who plays Ragnar, leaving the show sometime mid-way through the season.

Fimmel's exit is due to his growing demand in Hollywood films, and it looks like he won't be having time to shoot episodes with History Channel anymore. No one knows how Ragnar will be taken out of the storyline yet, but the latest trailer posted by ET Online gives hints that Ragnar will be killed by his ex-wife Lagertha.

In the trailer, a swarm of deadly snakes are shown to be approaching Ragnar as the voice of Lagertha (played by Kathryn Winnick) is heard saying, "I embrace the idea of life and death for I am not the one in charge of my fate. The gods have already written my story."

Lagertha is a powerful and well-skilled warrior, most effective with the shield and sword. Lagertha was once married and loyal to Ragnar, but their beautiful love story went pale after the shield maiden lost her second child. In her pain and sorrow, she tries to find a way to dethrone Ragnar and win the throne, which she believes is her birthright.

"Vikings" has received high praises and positive reviews from viewers and critics worldwide. Rotten Tomatoes gives the show a rating of 91 percent for all three previous episodes, with Season 3 being the highest rated amongst the seasons with 100 percent.

The series will premiere on Thursday, Feb. 18 on History Channel.
