NBC has not yet confirmed if "The Night Shift" will be picked up again for season 4, but executive producers Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah have already prepared storylines for the next season.

Last season's finale left the show with a lot of cliffhangers, giving fans several unanswered questions. Viewers hope these questions will be resolved in season 4 of "The Night Shift."

An explosion knocked TC (Eoin Macken) and Syd (Jennifer Beals) unconscious, leaving viewers to speculate if they will still be alive next season.

Also, Kenny (J.R. Lemon) is in trouble. No one knows what's going to happen to him now that Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) won't be there to help him.

In an interview with CarterMatt, Judah and Sachs expressed that they are positive that "The Night Shift" will be picked up for another season. Judah claims that they were ranked the number one scripted show of the summer, and that's the best that anyone can consider. They had a lot of cliffhangers in last season's finale to give "big angst" to their season ender. But because of the uncertainty of a new season, they left some scenes out to give the viewers satisfaction from the story.

The producers also talked about TC's possible death at the season finale. "This is a world where TC started alone, and he ends up alone. Theoretically, creatively, we are at peace with that decision. That doesn't mean that he is dead. There are a lot of different ways we can go with that." This confirms that TC will not be dead in the continuation of the series, but he still might be on his own.

They also talked about Kenny being stuck in a bad situation. They find the idea of what happens to a good guy when he's made bad decisions interesting, which is what happened to Kenny in season 3. Judah explains, "What happens when a good person makes a bad decision. Things kind of spiral, and that could be what happens for Kenny in season 4."

Season 4 will pick up right after the scene where TC and Syd were knocked unconscious after the explosion. Hopefully, Sachs and Judah will find out by the end of October if season 4 of "The Night Shift" will push through.
