The daughter of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) – Jesse (Violett Beane) – has turned into a speedster, and the two of them visit Star Labs to ask Barry's (Grant Gustin) guidance in using her speed abilities. Meanwhile, the new villain – Magenta (Joey King) – could have had a past relationship with Wally.

In the promo for the third episode of "The Flash" season 3, Dr. Wells and Jesse come to Star Labs through a breach. It turns out that Jesse has acquired speedster powers and has been acting as a superhero in Earth-2. She even has a new superhero name, Jesse Quick.

iDigital Times released the synopsis for episode 3 — titled "Magenta" — and it revealed that "Barry and Team Flash are thrilled to reunite with Earth-2 Wells and Jesse. Wells confides to Barry and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) that Jesse has all the powers of a speedster and has been saving people on his Earth. He is concerned about her safety and wants them to talk her out of using her powers. Meanwhile, Magenta, a new meta who can control metal, terrorizes the city."

And according to the episode 4 synopsis of "The Flash" season 3, Jesse will be training under Barry and will act like a "sidekick" when the next villain terrorizes Central City. Just like Barry once did, Jesse will be making a decision that she thinks she will be able to handle, but will create a bigger problem instead for her and Barry.

In the present, as seen in the episode 3 promo, Jesse will be using her speed to help Barry defeat the new villain, Magenta.

Based on the comic series, Magenta has powers similar to Marvel's Magneto. But before she turned into a villainous metahuman, she was known as Frances Kane and had a relationship with Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale).

With the scrambled timeline Barry created from his "Flashpoint" arc, it is possible that Magenta is one of the people who was affected by it.

"The Flash" season 3 airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
