The second phase of the Capcom Fighters Network (CFN) will be running this May, and the new DLC character that gamers will be able to play is Ed.

The CFN Beta launched by Capcom enables players of "Street Fighter 5" to experience new changes in the game, while having the opportunity to test the next DLC character. According to reports, the CFN Beta will run from May 11 to 14, and the new character that gamers will have access to is Ed.

Confirmed by the Capcom Unity blogsite, Ed is the new addition to the range of characters available to beta participants.

Ed's story began when he was taken to become a replacement body for M. Bison at a young age. However, the experiments conducted on him created a reaction that made his body age faster, making him suitable for combat earlier than expected.

Since he was under the mentorship of Balrog, Ed's fighting style is focused on boxing. But since he carries the genes of M. Bison, his techniques are heightened by Psycho Power.

The "Street Fighter 5" trailer reveals the abilities that Ed has, such as Psycho Snatcher, Psycho Cannon, and Psycho Barrage.

Psycho Snatcher is when he releases Psycho Power from his palms and uses it to control his or his opponent's movement. Ed triggers a Psycho Cannon by pooling strong energies of Psycho Power and releases it toward his opponent.

Another unique technique of Ed is the Psycho Barrage. Ed performs this by making a series of punches that creates a weave, entrapping his opponent and disabling him with quick combinations of Psycho-punches, finishing with a knock-out uppercut.

The second phase of CFN runs from May 11 to 14, available on PC and PlayStation 4.

Ed's character story is also featured in the CFN Beta, where the fighter struggles every night to stop M. Bison from taking over his body. Aside from this, Premium Battle costumes are also available for gamers to choose from.
