"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hit the big screen last week and fans are now on the lookout for news on digital and DVD releases, which will supposedly arrive anytime in early 2016.

The film is exclusively in movie theaters for the meantime, and the franchise is maximizing that. Box Office Mojo reports that the seventh installment of "Star Wars" brought in an estimated $238 million in its first three days domestically, and a total international gross of $517 million in the opening weekend.

However there is a huge demand for the digital and DVD release that is set to happen next year, and viewers are anticipating the release of the film on DVD, Blu-Ray, iTunes and Google Play.

Gotta Be Mobile reports that the first release is most likely to be through iTunes and digital, and should most likely come out by March 15, 2016. The site adds that the estimated price to purchase a copy of "The Force Awakens" should be anywhere around $19.99.

By April 5, 2016, the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on Blu-Ray, DVD and rental is expected to be released with a price tag of $19.99 for DVD, $29.99 for Blu-Ray and $5.99 for Rentals. There is also a complete set of the "Star Wars" saga from episodes one to seven, which will be priced at $99.99. No release date has been specified for the collection.

As early as now, retailers are now offering pre-orders of DVDs, Blu-Ray and digital downloads of "Star Wars Episode VII." Here are some offers available today.

Unfortunately, there are no dates attached to pre-orders, but they do guarantee first grabs on a copy of the latest "Star Wars" film once it's ready.
