Marvel's web-slinging superhero "Spider-Man" is coming back to the big screen once again in the upcoming "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie that is slated for a mid-2017 release.

Though the people behind the upcoming Marvel movie has kept information about "Spider-Man: Homecoming" tightly under wraps, recent speculations suggest that one villain in the movie will be played by famous actor Michael Keaton.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will allegedly feature three different villains. The first villain is dubbed Vulture and will be played by Keaton. The second villain is said to be called the Tinkerer, who is also speculated to be responsible for the Vulture's suit. As for the third villain, there is still no word about what viewers can expect, and the actor for the role hasn't been cast yet.

"We've had a wish list and most of them in the near-term are coming together. Cate Blanchett is playing Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Michael Keaton's Vulture in Spider-Man is something," said Kevin Feige — the head of Marvel Studios — during an interview with the Toronto Sun.

Feige's statement has confirmed the recent speculations that the actor has been attached to a villain's role for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" for the past few months.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is the latest rendition of Marvel's "Spider-Man" franchise The movie tells the story of a teenage boy named Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as he discovers his unique spider-like superhero abilities while he is still in high school.

Despite the lack of official news about the complete cast for "Spider-Man: Homecoming," confirmed cast members for the movie are Holland, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.

As of now, Marvel fans will just have to wait for Jon Watts' "Spider-Man: Homecoming" to figure out the complete details of the movie when it comes to the big screen on July 7, 2017.
