Theodore Peus (David Warshofsky) will go as far as terrorizing and killing innocent people to get Mellie (Bellamy Young) back under his control. Meanwhile, Rowan (Joe Morton) will  continue to disapprove of Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Fitz's (Tony Goldwyn) relationship.

On the next episode of "Scandal" season 6, titled, "The Box," Peus will be planting bombs around the country and threaten Fitz to detonate all of them, unless he surrenders Mellie.

As seen from the episode 13 promo, Peus calls Fitz to let him know that he will "detonate the drones" until Fitz surrenders Mellie over to him. It will be up to Olivia and Fitz to save Mellie from being under the hands of the shadowy organization and save the innocent people that are in harm's way.

"As the future of the country hangs in the balance, Olivia and Fitz are at odds with Rowan, and Jake (Scott Foley) employs surprising tactics to manipulate the Mystery Woman," the synopsis reads.

After last episode's feud between Rowan and Fitz, Papa Pope, who seems to have connections with the people involved in the shadowy organization, will not give a helping hand in controlling the terrorist situation. This might have something to do with his disapproval of his daughter being with Fitz.

In an interview with Variety, Morton talks about how his character will never support his daughter in being in a relationship with Fitz.

"Rowan looks at Fitz as someone who is weak and indulgent and spoiled, and someone who does not know how to deal with power and never wanted power, but is only in the White House because the people around him stop the election," said Morton.

The actor added that Fitz will have to prove himself through an "outrageously heroic" act for Rowan to see him in a different light.

"Scandal" season 6 airs every Thursday night at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
