'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date, game news: Title only releasing to PS4 and Xbox One

Red Dead Redemption 2 Rockstar Games

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is a game that is highly anticipated by players worldwide, especially since its prequel — "Red Dead Redemption" — was released way back in 2010. Unfortunately for PC and Nintendo users, they won't be part of the gamers who will get to enjoy the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel once it gets released.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" was announced a couple of weeks ago with a new trailer. Despite the hype that the new "Red Dead Redemption 2" trailer brings, news about the game only being available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles has disappointed some fans.

Unlike Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One, a PC and Nintendo version of "Red Dead Redemption 2" was not announced, leading PC and Nintendo console users to believe that they will not be able to enjoy the game unless they get a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

Furthermore, according to Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, it is very unlikely for "Red Dead Redemption 2" to be supported by Nintendo Switch.

On another note, "Red Dead Redemption 2" fans are still hyped over the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption" sequel ever since its trailer was released. The "Red Dead Redemption 2" trailer featured a nature-filled open world that would let its players roam around the wilderness using transportation modes other than the usual horseback ride.

However, the new "Red Dead Redemption 2" trailer lacked a sense of action, which is why some speculations suggest that the "Red Dead Redemption" sequel will come with more than a plot that is just shooting and violence.

Fans expect the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2" game to have more group activities as well as more shooting and looting activities in-game. Players also expect the game to let their characters partake in more heists, especially multi-stage heists in trains.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be launched for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in the Fall of 2017.
