PlayStation Plus October 2016 free games rumors: 'Watch Dogs', 'Resident Evil 6', and 'Tomb Raider' among lineup next month?

PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for a treat this October as the PlayStation network could be giving away AAA games as a part of its free game lineup.

PlayStation Plus is a subscription-based network that allows its users access to several premium features including early access to upcoming games, store discounts, early access to upcoming games, and six free games every month.

In the previous PlayStation Plus free game lineup, "Lords of the Fallen," and "Journey" was given away for PlayStation 4 users. On the other hand, "Prince of Persia: the Forgotten Sands" and "Datura" was given to PlayStation 3 users.

Though PlayStation Plus constantly provides its subscribers with free games, subscribers still want more AAA games to be included in its free game lineup.

For the month of October, word has spread that PlayStation Plus will be including high-quality games like "Watch Dogs" in its next month's lineup since the sequel to the game— "Watch Dogs 2" — will be coming to the market soon.

Another hit game that might be given away this October is "Resident Evil 6", which will also allegedly be included in the PlayStation Plus lineup since "Resident Evil 7" will be released in January 2017.

Furthermore, since the PlayStation Plus network seems to include AAA games with upcoming sequels, it is also speculated that "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" will be included in the October list because the much-awaited PlayStation 4 version of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is going to be released sometime next month.

Other games that are expected to be part of PlayStation Plus' October lineup include "The Evil Within," "Killzone: Shadow Fall," "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag," "Bound By Flame," "Nights of the Azure," "Knack," "Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD," "Blood Bowl 2," "XBlaze Code: Embryo," "Rugby Challenge 3," "BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend," "Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus," "From Dust," and "Dead Island."
