Chinese phone manufacturer OnePlus is about to release their latest version of the OnePlus 3 lineup, the OnePlus 3T. Right now, the 3T has been under the spotlight because Qualcomm recently took to social media to announce what they and OnePlus have been working on.
"Something from @OnePlus is on the way...and it's powered by our #Snapdragon 821 processor. Stay tuned," posted Qualcomm on their official twitter account. Qualcomm's recent action has added to the suspicion that OnePlus could actually release their new OnePlus 3T with a new Qualcomm processor.
Completely in tune with recent speculations, Qualcomm confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 3T will be coming to the market powered by their powerful Snapdragon 821 processor.
Other highly-speculated features of the OnePlus 3T is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor and its hefty pricetag, which is approximately $80 more than the OnePlus 3.
However, it is aso rumoured that OnePlus' upcoming 3T smartphone will only get a processor bump rather than a full phone upgrade. Once the OnePlus 3T is released, users can expect a 5.5-inch 1080x1920 AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The phone will also come with a Dual SIM feature that is supported by dual standby.
What's more is that the 3T will be coming out of the box running on the latest Android OS, the 7.0 Nougat, backed up by 6 GB of RAM. The device is also expected to provides users with impeccable graphics since it might come out with an Adreno 530 GPU powered by a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 processor.
The device can also have its users store large files in the phone since it is said to have 64 GB and 128 GB of internal storage. However, the phone does not have an expandable memory since the phone is not equipped with a micro SD card slot.
As for the phone's camera, the 3T is expected to have a 16-megapixel rear camera capable of taking 2160p resolution videos at 30 frames per second, coupled with a strong 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies.
The OnePlus 3T is expected to come to the market with a price tag of $479 USD.
