The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) has put Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David (Josh Dallas) under a cursed sleeping spell. Meanwhile, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina (Lana Parrilla) get trapped in the Evil Queen's mirror in an attempt to outsmart her.
Previously in "Once Upon a Time" season 6 episode 7 — titled "Heartless" — Snow and David have surrendered their hearts to the Evil Queen after failing to find a solution that will free Storybrooke from her control. However, the royal couple holds on to the hope that they will find each other no matter what.
The Evil Queen hid Snow and cast a cursed sleeping spell on her. After David was able to find Snow and bestowed upon her true love's kiss, Snow awoke and David fell asleep. It turns out that the sleeping curse was cast on both of their half hearts and the two would never be together again because one of them will always be asleep when the other is awake.
In a previous interview with TV Line, showrunner Adam Horowitz teased, "Snow's history with Regina comes back to haunt her and Charming, as a plan set in motion years ago by the Evil Queen comes to dangerous fruition in present-day Storybrooke."
It appears that the Evil Queen has gotten her revenge in episode 7.
In the upcoming eight episode — titled "I'll Be Your Mirror" — Regina and Emma will get trapped in the Evil Queen's mirror after they try to get the better of her.
According to the synopsis released by The Futon Critic, "Emma and Regina formulate a plan to trap the Evil Queen in a prison of their own making, while Snow and David adjust to life without each other. As Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) nervously prepares to take Violet (Olivia Steele Falconer) to the school dance, the Evil Queen impersonates Regina to give him some advice that could lead him down a dark path. Meanwhile, Zelena (Rebecca Mader) agrees to help Belle (Emilie de Ravin), and together they enlist Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) to steal a magical object from Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) that could protect Belle and her unborn child from him forever."
In the episode promo, Emma and Regina will be facing a dragon while they are trapped inside the Evil Queen's mirror.
