Nintendo NX release date news, specs, price rumors: Console rolling out as Nintendo Duo

Japanese company Nintendo has kept news about the Nintendo NX tightly under wraps, causing many speculations about its official release date, specs, and name to spread around the internet like wildfire.

Despite the lack of information from Nintendo, rumors and leaks have been suggesting a number of things for the upcoming Nintendo NX gaming console. One leak suggests that the Nintendo NX might come to the market under a new name. The leak has brought up speculations that the Japanese company might be releasing the Nintendo NX as the Nintendo Duo.

The Nintendo Duo brand makes for a perfect Nintendo NX console name especially since the Nintendo NX sports a dual-purpose platform that is said to allow its users to switch between a handheld device and a home-based gaming console.

However, the rumor that the Nintendo NX will be released under the name Nintendo Duo has not yet been confirmed nor denied by the Japanese company.

On another note, other speculations suggest that the Nintendo NX will be supporting 4K streaming and a 1080p high resolution display at 60 frames per second. The console's 4K streaming support is also said to allows its users to stream online content such as those available on video streaming site Netflix.

The Nintendo NX has also been rumored to be launched with popular games including "Mario" and "Beyond Good and Evil 2," which is said to be a game released exclusively for the Nintendo NX.

As of now, there is still no official news from Nintendo as to when their Nintendo NX gaming console will be released, but speculations suggest that the Japanese company will be announcing their upcoming console's big reveal by Oct. 21.

Additionally, other rumors suggest that demo units of the Nintendo NX will be deployed by various retailers on February 2017 with prices ranging from $299.99 USD up to $399.99 USD.
