The team will be depending on Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) on their next case. Meanwhile, fans of the show will be disappointed after learning that Michael Weatherly will not have a chance to return to the show.

On the next episode of "NCIS" season 14, titled "One Book, Two Covers," Torres will be leading the next case of their team. This is because their new case is connected to one of his old assignments as an undercover agent.

"Torres must rely on old case notes and contacts after a Marine's murder is linked to a former dirt bike gang he joined for a year-long undercover operation," the episode listing on The Futon Critic reads.

The show has focused on Torres and Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) lately, also teasing the rumored fling that they had before. In the previous episode, the series showed that even Quinn's mother has a liking for Torres.

Meanwhile, it appears that the chance of Weatherly returning to "NCIS" to reprise his role of Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo is no longer possible.

According to iTechPost, Weatherly has decided not to make an appearance back on the show because of indications that Mark Harmon, the actor who plays Gibbs on "NCIS," will soon be exiting the series. The exit of their lead cast member might lead to a cancellation.

Even when Weatherly left the show in season 13, rumors spread that "NCIS" will already be canceled. Now that there are speculations of Harmon leaving the series due to health concerns, it might mark the end of the "NCIS" series.

However, the show's ratings seem to perform well, and it is possible that it will be renewed for another season. Since the show is already exploring more of the recently added characters, the new season might focus on Torres and Quinn as well.

"NCIS" season 14 airs every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
