To get personality badges such as the Alpha Dog badge, the player must become the highest rated player on the team, and must play at least 60% of the total game time during a team's game. Another personality badge that can be awarded to a player is the Clutch Performer badge. To earn the Clutch Performer badge, players must become a highlight performer during crucial games. There's also the Championship DNA, a badge that can be gained through winning at least one NBA championship.
As for skill badges like the Acrobat badge, a player must execute 15 reverse layups and four change-slot layups in one season. Another skill badge to earn is the Corner Specialist badge, where players must score several three-point shots from the corner.
"NBA 2K17" also awards badges to players who sport defensive skills. The Pick Pocket badge can be gained by getting 50 poke ball loose animations. One more defensive badge is the Hustle Rebounder, which can be gained through a total of 400 rebounds.
Athletic badges like the Lob City Finisher, on the other hand, can be gained by doing 15 ally oops in one season. The Posterizer is another cool athletic badge to win, especially since it requires players to make 15 contact dunks in one season. There is also the One Man Fast Break badge, an athletic badge that requires players to score 75 times during a fastbreak in one season.
