Marvel's Wolverine is making a comeback to the big screen, and fans of the franchise are getting hyped over the in-depth story of one of the major X-men characters, Logan.

Played by the ever talented Hugh Jackman, "Logan" will reappear in the upcoming third Wolverine movie produced by Marvel. However, despite being another Wolverine movie, the film will not be telling the story of the mutant Wolverine, but the normal guy behind the clawed hero himself, "Logan."

The film will be directed by James Mangold, who recently hinted that Hugh Jackman will portray an alcoholic "Logan" who is trying to subdue his inner emotional wounds through excessive drinking.

"As for our hero, well, he's older now, and it's clear his abilities aren't what they once were. He's fading on the inside, and his diminished healing factor keeps him in a constant state of chronic pain — hence booze as the painkiller," Mangold said as he explained why "Logan" will be portrayed as a drunk in the third Wolverine movie.

It is rumored that "Logan" will find himself at his lowest point as his mutant capabilities fade and prolongs his agony. "Logan" will also be facing an emotional healing struggle as he faces his last days on earth by continuously battling the pain and suffering caused by the tragic events in his life, including the death of his wife and the memory loss he suffered when he was shot with an adamantium bullet in the head.

Another rumored plot for "Logan" suggests that a child will become a major character in the film, and this rumor was confirmed when Hugh Jackman posted a promotional photo for "Logan" on his social media account. The photo shows the hand of a child holding onto the hand of Wolverine with his claws out. However, there is still no news as to which child celebrity will take on the role of the child in "Logan".

"Logan" will be available in theaters on March 3, 2017.
