Rogelio (Jaime Camil) is still heartbroken after ending his relationship with Xo (Andrea Navedo), which made him resort to a matchmaker to find love. Meanwhile, Jane (Gina Rodriguez) will be hired by someone — to be played by Kelly Rutherford — as her second assistant.

Previously in "Jane the Virgin," Rogelio and Xo rekindled their love throughout the two seasons of the show. But in the season 2 finale, they reach a dead-end to their relationship. Both of them wanted to be with each other, but Rogelio wanted another child while Xo did not. It was also revealed that Xo found out she was pregnant, but the only problem is that she doesn't know if Rogelio is the father.

However, in the upcoming third season of "Jane the Virgin," it appears that things won't be happening in Rogelio's favor now that he will be meeting a matchmaker to find new love.

According to Deadline, Justina Machado has been cast as Darcy Factor, the strict matchmaker who will help Rogelio find a new woman. Factor will have a lot of rules in her matchmaking service that Rogelio can't help but break immediately. Luckily for Rogelio, Factor will give him another chance and the two will arrive at a win-win situation, especially for Rogelio.

Is Rogelio finally moving on from Xo?

Meanwhile, although Jane's life seems like it's on pause because her new husband Michael (Brett Dier) still hasn't woken up from his coma yet, she will be finding a new job at a high-profile publisher.

People reports that "Gossip Girl" alum Rutherford has been cast to play Jane's new boss in the upcoming third season of "Jane the Virgin." Rutherford's character will hire Jane as her second assistant and will be appearing in the season's sixth episode. Although Rutherford is currently cast as a guest star, there is a high chance that she will become a recurring character in season 3.

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 premieres on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
