Catalina (Sofia Pernas) — Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) cousin — has some sparks with Rafael (Justin Baldoni), which makes Jane jealous. Meanwhile, Rogelio (Jaime Camil) realizes that he still has strong feelings for Xo (Andrea Navedo).
Previously in "Jane The Virgin" season 3, Jane came home to find her cousin waiting on her porch. As seen in the episode promo, Catalina has been living a worldly life. Jane is amazed at what Catalina has accomplished, but the latter will soon make the former feel insecure.
One of the things that will trigger Jane's insecurity is Catalina and Rafael creating sparks between them. Jane tries to find comfort from her husband Michael (Brett Dier), but his words will have the opposite effect, making Jane feel more worried.
Will Catalina and Rafael develop a serious relationship? This might create an issue to the already complicated relationship Jane has with Rafael.
Meanwhile, Xiomara has decided to open her own dance studio. Xo has started looking for studio spaces, and the one she wants to take is close to her ex-boyfriend. Knowing that Xo might rekindle the past with her ex-boyfriend makes Rogelio realize that he still loves Xo.
Rogelio will confess his still strong feelings to Xo, but she might not feel the same as they have already decided that it's better for them not to be together.
In the upcoming seventh episode of "Jane the Virgin" season 3, Jane will have another conflict with her grandmother, which leads to a parenting problem with Rafael.
According to the synopsis released by IBTimes, "When Alba (Ivonne Coll) makes Jane feel guilty for not attending church, Jane decides she wants to bring Mateo against Rafael's wishes. Rafael unlocks a long lost memory of him and his mother, which could be a clue in the Mutter case. Rogelio hires a matchmaker to help him get over Xo. Meanwhile, Jane's cousin is starting to wear out her welcome."
