iPad Pro 2 release date, specs rumors 2016: Device could be released in 2017; photos of upcoming model leaked by supplier?

A new iPad Pro 2 model is expected to be unveiled by Apple in 2017. Meanwhile, photos of what appears to be the iPad Pro 2 were leaked on the Internet by someone from its supplier.

Apple first introduced the iPad Pro with a 12.9-inch screen in the market back in September 2015. By March 2016, an improved version of the iPad Pro was released with a smaller frame of only 9.7 inches. The latter had a lot of positive reviews, which made Apple users anticipate when the next iPad Pro will be released.

Macworld reports that an iPad Pro 2 might be released next year. Apple had two events this year showcasing the iPhone 7, Apple Watch Series 2, and MacBook Pro. However, with no mention of the iPad at the events, speculations state that its unveiling will happen at the nearest Apple event next year.

Meanwhile, Appleinsider received a pair of photos from an anonymous source that appears to be a new iPad Pro model. The photos have allegedly come from a Chinese supplier working on the iPad Pro who claims that these models have gone into production last September. But there has been no confirmation that the photos and the attached information are true.

A market analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo recently tried to predict what Apple will be doing in the market over the years to come. According to Macrumors, Kuo suggests that in terms of the iPad Pro, Apple will be releasing a new model available in three sizes: 12.9-inch, 9.7-inch, and 10.5-inch. He adds that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be the low-cost option, equipped with the smallest screen and the least updated processor.

Kuo indicated that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will be the model that will cater to the education and business sectors.

"If the iPad comes in a larger size, such as a 10.5-inch model, we believe it will be helpful to bid for tenders within the commercial and education markets. As a result, we expect Apple to launch a 10.5-inch iPad Pro in 2017," said Kuo.

The iPad Pro is expected to be released in 2017.
