"Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn admitted through social media that there were talks of a David Bowie cameo in the sequel of the Marvel film after learning of the passing of music star and icon last weekend.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Gunn gave a tribute to Bowie, telling of the impact that the artist had over the film directors career. He then goes on to reveal plans that he shared with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to have Bowie appear in the second installment of the film featuring the galactic warriors in "Guardians of the Galaxy."
"Just a very short while ago Kevin Feige and I were talking about a cameo role in Guardians Vol. 2, and he brought up Bowie's name," Gunn said in his Facebook post. "I told him nothing in the world would make me happier, but I heard from common friends he wasn't doing well."
