The latest Google Nexus 8 leak hinted that the tablet will pack the next generation of Android 4.5/5.0 Lollipop that supports 64-bit chip processor.

Alleged photos and spec sheet of the Google Nexus 8 emerged online. Android Origin cited an unnamed source saying that the leaked images claimed that the Nexus 8 will come bundled with Android 4.5 or Android 5.0 Lollipop and will boast of a Qualcomm 64-bit processor.

Tech giant Google is set to unveil the next version of Android operating system this month at the I/O Developers' Conference kicking off on June 25. Meanwhile, a chipset with 64-bit architecture seemed to be the trend of rumored smartphones.

There were speculations that the Google Nexus 8 will be released alongside Android 4.5/5.0 Lollipop. CNET reported that the 8-inch Android tablet is currently undergoing final testing. This is the last step before the launch of the tablet.

This report came from the tech website Myce, which spotted the details in the Google site Chromium, indicated that Google is finalizing the details of the upcoming 8-inch tablet. The Google's website listed a device nicknamed as "flounder".

The same listing also indicated that the Google Nexus 8 will pack an NVIDIA Tegra 4 SoC chipset with 64-bit architecture, which is apt for gaming. Google could be strengthening its hold in the market by offering a device that will support high-res games. A Tegra 4 chipset is different from previous rumors which say that the tablet will be powered by a Qualcomm CPU.

Aside from Android 4.5/5.0 Lollipop and 64-bit chipset, Google Nexus 8 was also rumored to pack a high quality 8.9 inches screen display. Some reports say that the screen will have a Full HD resolution, while others say that the panel will pack a 2K screen resolution. Lastly, the 8-inch tablet was reported to be offered at a higher price point due to its upgraded features.
