The much-awaited HBO series "Game of Thrones" will be introducing new characters in its seventh season. One of the new characters could possibly be a new lover for Jon Snow (Kit Harrington).

In a previous report by Watchers on the Wall, two new characters were being cast in the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones" – a 10-year-old boy and a 16-year-old Northern girl of the same height. No other details were given about the casting, but the Northern girl will be part of "a high-stakes scene with leading cast members."

Watchers on the Wall reports that the actress who will play the part of the Northern girl is Megan Parkinson. Because of her features, she was initially thought to be a body double for Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner). However, she is too short to be Turner's body double. Since the costume and sword belt she was wearing as seen in the cast photos reported by Daily Mail were far from what Sansa would wear, Parkinson is speculated to be playing a new character in "Game of Thrones" season 7.

Also in the cast photos, the actors that Parkinson was huddled with were Harrington, Gwendoline Christie (who plays Brienne of Tarth), and Liam Cunningham (who portrays Ser Davos Seaworth), who all fit the original cast description of "leading cast members."

With her character kept under wraps, it is speculated that the new character Parkinson will be portraying is also Jon Snow's new lover in "Game of Thrones" season 7.

One of the reasons for this speculation is that Parkinson's Northern and physical features match Jon Snow's previous lover, Ygritte (Rose Leslie). Especially now that Jon Snow will be reigning as the new King of the North, it is only fitting that he find a woman to be his Queen of the North.

Also, Parkinson and Harrington were seen hugging before parting ways from the set of "Game of Thrones."

"Game of Thrones" season 7 is expected to premiere in the summer of 2017.
