A fan favorite character who has died on the show might return as a White Walker. Meanwhile, the revelation of the identity of "Prince That Was Promised" has been highly anticipated, and there are several theories suggesting who this might be.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 will soon air on HBO, and the event that most viewers of the show anticipates is the war between the White Walkers and the alliances of Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), and Cersei (Lena Headey).

However, it seems that the White Walkers will bring something more devastating to the fans of the show other than their invasion. There are rumors that a beloved character will return as a White Walker — Hodor (Kristian Nairn).

In an interview with Belfast Telegraph, the actor shared that he would enjoy returning to the show as a weapon of evil, and he then speculated that his character might still be alive, roaming around the countryside.

When asked if Hodor will return as a White Walker, Nain answered with: "I'm just going to say no but I might be lying. I can't give anything away. I have let things slip before by accident and I've learnt the hard way."

Meanwhile, the revelation of the identity of the Prince That Was Promised is also highly-anticipated by "Game of Thrones" fans.

Based on the novel of the same title, the Prince That Was Promised is known to be the Lord of Light, who will be reborn to win the battle against the White Walkers. The Prince will be a reincarnation of the hero Azor Ahai, whose rebirth will come from the bloodline of the Targaryens, Digital Spy confirms.

It was also said that the Lord of Light will be able to defeat the White Walkers with the use of a red sword, which will have to be plunged through the heart of their most loved one to become effective.

Currently, it is rumored that either Daenerys or Jon Snow is the Prince That Was Promised. There are also rumors that the two will become lovers in the upcoming season. If both theories turn out to be true, it means either Jon Snow and Daenerys will be sacrificed to win the battle against the White Walkers.

"Game of Thrones" season 7 will premiere on July 16 on HBO.
