"Fire Emblem Heroes" released a new update — "World of Shadows" — that introduces new characters to the game. The game's current features were also enhanced, bringing in a better gaming experience.
Developed by Intelligent Systems, the free-to-play tactical role-playing spin-off game, "Fire Emblem Heroes," has a new update that went live this month. Titled "World of Shadows," it brings in new characters for gamers to use or interact with in-game, IGN confirmed.
"World of Shadows" was launched on April 14, and it introduced the characters Alm, Clair, Lukas, and Faye.
Alm is the Hero of the Prophecy, Lukas is the Sharp Soldier, Clair is the Highborn Flier, while Faye is the Devoted Heart. Each character will have their own paralogues that the gamers will learn about.
Although a new update was only recently launched, it appears that gamers are interested in learning about the future of "Fire Emblem Heroes." However, game director Kouhei Maeda is keeping their plans for the game a tightly guarded secret.
"We can't discuss details at this time, but I hope you'll be willing to be patient with us," Maeda said.
However, the developers will be releasing a new update next month, titled "Shadows of Valentia," that will feature Alm and Celica as its main characters. It will bring a series of dungeon adventures to the game.
Meanwhile, the new update also enhanced some of the game's features, thereby improving the mobile gaming experience.
Polygon reports that "Fire Emblem Heroes" has increased their stamina cap, which allowed gamers to extend their playing time by twice as long than their usual. Gamers now have 99 stamina points that they can use in maps and tower training. They could also use the stamina points to fight bosses with multiple lives.
Another feature brought from the console version is the space-swapping option, which allows gamers to swap the positions of their four characters before going into battle.
