'FIFA 17' reviews: Title lives up to the hype

The "FIFA" game franchise has been indulging football fans from around the globe with its epic gameplay, which is why its latest version — "FIFA 17" — has gotten avid "FIFA" fans all hyped up, especially since game developer Frostbite Engine has worked hard on the latest entry in the series.

Frostbite Engine was responsible for well-known games such as "Battlefield," which is why the same immersive experience can also be expected from this year's "FIFA 17." Unlike the previous versions of "FIFA," this year's "FIFA 17" boasts significantly enhanced graphics with vivid lighting, shadows, textures, colors, and animations.

"FIFA 17" provides its players with the real football experience by including real teams, players, and even real stadiums in the game.

One thing fans are generally happy about in "FIFA 17" is its new career mode called "The Journey." "FIFA 17" has its players take part in an interactive movie gameplay combined with enough FIFA action as Alex Hunter, a schoolboy from Clapham, London that is out to become the best player in the Premier League.

Many fans consider the new career mode a success, especially since it provides players with may personalization options. For one, players can choose to play the football game as a team, or as Alex Hunter himself.

Though some fans might opt to play as Alex alone, not playing as a team can significantly affect the outcome of the game since playing as Alex will only allow players to play an immediate offensive difference.

On another note, "FIFA 17" has turned out to be one of the most realistic football games to hit the gaming industry. Unlike the previous versions of "FIFA," the characters in this year's game became more physical, and more authentic movements can be seen from players who are going against each other to gain better positions.

What's more, the ball dynamics of the game became more realistic since free kicks and corner kicks became more simplified. Additionally, players can now also press several button simultaneously to perform different passes including aerial and v ground passes.

Aside from the game's new features, "FIFA 17" also brought back familiar aspects of the "FIFA" game including the Traditional career mode where players can become managers of a team, and the Ultimate team mode where players can craft a team with a mix of players including well-known "FIFA" characters.

"FIFA 17" is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
