After it's winter season break, "Elementary" will be airing the seventh episode of season four on Thursday, Jan. 7.

According to Hypable, the story of episode 7 is centered around the reunion of a young woman with her parents after going missing for a long period of time. As the family rejoices after inviting back a prodigal daughter, Sherlock Holmes has problems stringing details together and suspects that the young girl is an impostor.

The trailer of the upcoming episode shows tension between Holmes and the young girl, who appears to be aware and hostile about Holmes' discovery of her deception. Thus the title, "Miss Taken," is given to the upcoming seventh chapter of the fourth season.

In addition to episode seven's plot, Dr. Joan Watson meets up with her step-father, Henry Watson (played by John Heard), after he uses her and Holmes as inspiration for a crime novel that he publishes. The meeting between Dr. Watson and her father will not be a pleasant one as the two start digging up skeletons from the past.

"Elementary" is an American procedural drama series that brings a contemporary spin to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. The show was created by "Ringer" and "Medium" writer Robert Doherty, and is aired by CBS, the media company also behind "Supergirl."

The contemporary take on Holmes, who is played by Jonny Lee Miller, features a former Scotland Yard Consultant who takes his keen attention to detail to the New York Police Department. He is paired up with Dr. Joan Watson, played by Lucy Liu, Holme's sober companion who is hired by Holme's father.

The film has garnered a rating of 73 percent based on reviews of 29 critics on Metacritic, for its first season. "Elementary" season 4, episode 7, "Miss Taken," is scheduled to return on Thursday, January 7 at 10 p.m. EST.
