"Destiny" developer Bungie has launched an invite to gather at the gameplay premiere of "Destiny 2" coming this month. Meanwhile, Activision confirms improvements made on "Destiny 2" to address concerns on the first game.

The release of "Destiny 2" is still months ahead, however, Bungie has already spread out invites for the upcoming gameplay premiere on May 18 in Los Angeles, Business Insider confirms.

The invite from Activision is a physical package consisting of a small black card, a metal pin, and a figurine of one of the most popular characters in "Destiny," Cayde-6.

Aside from the upcoming gameplay premiere and the recently launched "Destiny 2" trailer, little to none plot details have been released by the game developers. However, the invitation package provides a little bit of detail that can help predict what is in store for gamers of "Destiny 2."

The black card greets with, "Welcome to a world without light." This leads to speculations that all powers gained from the first franchise will be taken away in "Destiny 2," where gamers will have to earn them again.

Even the metal pin shaped like a Ghost, which are the drones that guide gamers throughout "Destiny," is also dipped in black.

Based on the packaging and theme of the physical invite from Activision, it is anticipated that the theme of "Destiny 2" is much darker than the first game. However, fans are reassured that there will be light moments because of the inclusion of Cayde-6 in the box, who is also expected to have a bigger influence on "Destiny 2."

Meanwhile, reports reveal that game developers enhanced "Destiny 2" in a way that it addresses the flaws from the first game, such as the streaming of content.

"We now have a lot of confidence that we're going to be able to keep up with demand with that steady stream of content and sort of keep pace with our players' engagement post-release of Destiny 2," Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg shares.

"Destiny 2" is slated to premiere on Sept. 8 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
