The three villains Clyde (James Read), Orpheus (George DelHoyo), and Xander (Paul Telfer) have returned to Salem and are planning to bring chaos to the lives of Salemites. Xander first targets Theresa (Jen Lilley)- he crashes her wedding night and almost gets her killed.

The trio of villains have escaped their prison van and are on their way back to Salem. There is no reason for them to return, but all three want to take revenge on the Salemites who put them away.

Xander has targeted Theresa to be his first victim, casting a dark cloud on her upcoming wedding with Brady (Eric Martsolf). Even though Theresa already knew that the three villains were coming back, she decided that she doesn't want to waste any more time and pushes through with the wedding.

Upon returning to her penthouse, Theresa finds that Xander has been waiting for her there. He strangles Theresa and causes her worrying injuries. Soon enough, Brady arrives at the penthouse and brawls with Xander. Unfortunately, according to Parent Herald, Xander will be able to escape. Theresa goes to the police station to report Xander's return.

Theresa will also cross paths with Nicole (Arianne Zucker), one of the people who helped put Xander to jail. She warns Nicole that Xander might come after her next, reported by Blasting News.

Meanwhile, Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) have to watch their backs because Orpheus might be on their tails. Steve wants to work through their marriage, and he is doing everything in his power to win her back and to keep her safe. But a certain situation puts them in conflict. Kayla will not agree with how Steve handles this situation, even if Steve just wanted to protect her.

With the help of John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall), Steve will be able to understand where Kayla is coming from. With a few more developments to their story, Kayla will ask Steve to move back home. But coming home together will still not be completely safe,as Orpheus and the others on the loose.
