iOS 9.3 beta 1 launched for iPhone and iPad

Apple's iOS 9.3 beta 1 has just been released to iPhone and iPad users, and it's been sent out ahead specifically for developers. The latest update comes along with new beta operating systems for other Apple systems including the Apple TV, Apple Watch and MacBook and iMacs.

The software update is made available in the developer page of Apple, and brings a whole new array of new updates to Apple mobile products. The software update introduces a new feature called Night Shift, which determines whether the sun is out in your area via geolocation and shifts the colors on the device to warmer tones. This is Apple's response to a study that shows that exposure to bright blue light in the evening makes it harder for a user to sleep.

Also available through iOS 9.3 is a new security feature in the Notes app, which allows users to protect sensitive information- such as financials and passwords- via a password or fingerprint touch. In addition, users can now also sort notes by date or alphabetical sequence.

The news app has also now been made more personalised by introducing a "For You" section, which suggests trending topics and Editors' Picks. Playing videos via the news feed is also now made available. The iOS 9.3 also adds more functional features to Carplay, also adding a "For You" section in Apple Music and bringing a "Nearby" feature that shows gas stations, restaurants, cafes and many other establishments on your device.

The iOS 9.3 also now allows iPhones to connect with multiple watches at the same time. This is a first for the iPhone operating system.

The launch of iOS 9.3 was also accompanied by other OS updates for Apple products including OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 beta 1 for MacBooks and iMacs, tvOS 9.2 beta 1 for Apple TVs and watchOS 2.2 beta 1 for the Apple Watch.
