Cupertino tech giant Apple has recently announced their latest wireless headphones — the Apple AirPods — and Apple users are getting hyped over the news that the accessory will be out in the market anytime soon.
The new Apple AirPods were specifically created to match the now headphone jack-less iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus. Though the exclusion of the 3.5mm analog headphone jack from the latest iPhones to enter Apple's lineup was initially frowned upon by many Apple fans, the AirPods might be welcomed with open arms once it enters the market due to its impressive specs.
Apple's new wireless earphones will allow users to listen to music and accept calls via Bluetooth for 5 hours when fully charged. Apple also offers a rechargeable carrying case that can add up to 24 hours of extra battery life for the AirPods. What's more is that the new wireless earphones also feature a 15-minute quick charge that promises to add an extra 3-hours to the AirPod's battery life.
However, even though the AirPods are deemed to be a great piece of technology, some early reviews state that the wireless earphones are missing volume controls and that the accessory only has average sound quality.
The AirPods were launched during Apple's recent September event as an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus accessory. The new wireless earphones were initially set to have an October release date, but a delay was issued by Apple since the company needed more time to work on the accessory prior to its release.
Since October has already passed, recent speculations suggest that the new Apple AirPods will be coming to the market just before November ends.
But according to one product listing from a Czech Republic retailer — Alza.cz — the AirPods should be available for retail just before Christmas Day.
As of now, there is still no official news from Apple as to when their new AirPods will be released, but if rumors are true, fans can expect Apple's new wireless earphones to be on sale just before the year ends for $159 USD.
