The Marvel movie which centers around Thor – to be played by Chris Hemsworth – will be premiering in November of 2017. Taika Waititi, the director of "Thor: Ragnarok," is said to have disregarded the whole Marvel Universe while creating the film.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will premiere next year on Nov. 3, following another Marvel movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," which will debut on May 5, 2017.

Meanwhile, the director of "Thor: Ragnarok" revealed in his first Reddit AMA thread that he ignored the presence of the Marvel Universe during the creation of the film. "I'm trying to ignore the rest of the universe and just make my own awesome movie," Waititi wrote on a post.

He also said that he ignored the other "Thor" films, and that he has not seen "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." Regardless of the Marvel Universe, Waititi reassures fans that "Thor: Ragnarok" will be a great film with an '80s vibe and a "Taika-esque tone."

"I think 'TR' will be one of the most adventurous and most 'out there' of all the Marvel movies. It's a crazy movie," Waititi posted.

In an interview with IGN, Waititi revealed a few villains that are confirmed to be in the upcoming "Thor" film. Some of these villains are Surtur and Fenris. Based on the comic series, Surtur is a fire demon who is biding his time until the end of the world. Surtur is awaiting his time so he can end both men and gods.

Meanwhile, Fenris is an Asgardian and the offspring of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Angrboda the giantess. The actors who will play the two villains have not been revealed so far.

Another villain who is said to be another offspring of Loki and Angrboda is Hela, to be played by Cate Blanchet. In the comics, Hela is the Goddess of Death.

"Thor: Ragnarok" premieres on November 3, 2017.
