Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) powerful daughter, Hope (Summer Fontana), might be the savior – or slayer – of her father Klaus in season 4. Meanwhile, Morgan reveals what fans can expect in the upcoming season of "The Originals."

Previously in "The Originals" season 3, Hayley was seen driving the Mikaelsons in their coffins out of town, on a mission with her daughter Hope to find a way to break them from their cursed and painful slumber. At the return of the series, there will be a time jump and Hope will be five years old then.

It is expected that Hope will have a dark side, inherited from her father Klaus, and she will develop abilities as a witch as well. Because of her powerful abilities and her relationship with Klaus, Hope is expected to play a big role in saving her father from his curse.

But according to Morgan, Hope might not turn out to be a father's girl and may possibly put him to an end. In an interview with TV Insider, Morgan revealed, "His savior—or his downfall? How old would she have to be to kill her father? She could have a lot of resentment. I have always felt Hope would be the key to everything."

Aside from a new villain to terrorize the children of New Orleans and the much-awaited freedom of the Mikaelsons from their cursed sleep, Morgan teases that betrayal and strange alliances will be formed in "The Originals" season 4.

In one of his Instagram posts, Morgan shared that someone will be betrayed and that betrayal will take form in "a staking of some kind or another." The Mikaelsons have a lot of issues surrounding them, one especially with Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Klaus, given that Klaus is to blame for the death of his love, Davina (Danielle Campbell). Will the betrayal come from Kol or anyone from the family?

One thing is for sure, Klaus will return to New Orleans.

"The Originals" season 4 is expected to premiere in January 2017 on The CW.
