Two episode titles for season 4e of "The Originals" have been revealed. Meanwhile, can Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Elijah's (Daniel Gillies) share a happy ending?
A premiere date has been set for "The Originals" season 4, and the show will return on March 17, 2017 on The CW. The series will start with a five year time jump, and viewers will follow Hayley, who is on a mission to track the seven werewolf packs. Hayley believes that these packs will help her in her search for the cure that will awaken the Mikaelsons from their cursed slumber.
Hayley and Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) daughter Hope (Summer Fontana) will also be shown as a promising vampire-werewolf hybrid with a talent for witchcraft.
Two episode titles of "The Originals" season 4 have been revealed on Twitter. Episode 10 is titled "Phantomesque," while episode 12 is titled "Voodoo Child."
The title of episode 12 sparked speculations that either Hope will be using voodoo magic, or that she will be used in a voodoo magic ritual. This situation will allow Hope to showcase the extent of her abilities. Also, the show hasn't delved into a lot of dark magic and featuring voodoo could introduce a new plot point to the show.
Meanwhile, Hayley and Elijah might not have a chance at their own happy ending. In season 3 of "The Originals," the two finally decided to be together but their relationship was cut short when Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) showed up at the Mikaelson's compound.
At the 2016 San Diego Comic Con last July, showrunner Julie Plec shared her thoughts on Hayley and Elijah's relationship.
"With Hayley and Elijah, we felt they'd gotten to dance around each other early on, then become terribly separated, emotionally and physically. Knowing this family was going to be split apart for the next five years, giving them the opportunity to get together one more time felt right. ... Time will tell how much happiness they're able to have — or not have," said Plec, TV Line reports.
"The Originals" season 4 premieres on Friday, March 17, 2017 on The CW.
