Executive producer (EP) Julie Plec has recently confirmed that there is a big possibility that "The Vampire Diaries" characters will show up on "The Originals" season 4. Meanwhile, Joseph Morgan (Klaus Mikaelson) has been bonding really well with his on-screen daughter Summer Fontana (Hope Mikaelson).
There has been a lot of buzz about characters from "The Vampire Diaries" (TVD) crossing over to "The Originals" timeline, especially Caroline (Candice King), who was one of Klaus' love interests. Julie Plec confirmed in an interview with ET that the show crossovers are very much likely.
Since "The Vampire Diaries" is on its last season, Plec is willing to tweak the storyline to allow a much-awaited crossover with its spinoff show "The Originals."
The same goes for "The Vampire Diaries" characters crossing over to New Orleans since "The Originals" will outlive its parent series. EP Plec shared, "A thousand percent. One of my goals is to find really exciting and organic ways to combine the universe just a little bit, whether it's a flavor or something more aggressive. There are a lot of really wonderful people that I work with that I'd like to continue working with, so it's certainly not out of the question that we could find ways to integrate them into 'The Originals.'"
Meanwhile, Morgan has been spending a lot of time with Fontana off screen, and presumably on screen as well because of their father-daughter relationship in "The Originals." It is anticipated that Hope will be the one to save Klaus since she will become a powerful vampire-werewolf hybrid who also possesses very strong magic.
Morgan posted a video on his Instagram account of him teaching Fontana how to make a vampire face, and another one where Fontana is shown interviewing him.
In the second video, Fontana asked Morgan who is the fan favorite from the series. Although Morgan playfully answers that he is the fan favorite, Fontana teases that he won't be for long.
"The Originals" season 4 is expected to debut in January 2017.
