Elijah (Daniel Gillies) has been chosen by The Hollow as her sacrifice to bring her back in the form of flesh and blood, in episode 9 of "The Originals" season 4. Meanwhile, the show has been renewed for season 5.

Previously on "The Originals" season 4, Elijah came to Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) to bring him the Tunde blade as a peace offering. Unfortunately, he stepped into the Hollow's trap and ended up stabbed in the back with a knife that has Marcel's blood.

On the next episode of "The Originals" season 4, titled "Queen Death," Elijah might die as The Hollow's sacrifice to bring her back in a body of her own.

As seen in the episode 9 promo, The Hollow in Sofya's (Taylor Cole) body announces to Elijah that he will be "the great sacrifice that will return me to flesh and blood."

As The Hollow's ritual is coming to a close, she tells Marcel, "Did you come here to witness my rebirth? Or to die trying to stop it?"

According to Davina (Danielle Campbell), the only way to stop The Hollow is to use Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) blood and offer an immortal as a sacrifice.

In the episode synopsis, it appears that Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), Haley, and Freya (Riley Voelkel) will work on stopping The Hollow for good, even if they have to sacrifice one of their own.

Davina wants to kill Klaus (Joseph Morgan) as s sacrifice to stop The Hollow, and the Original might even be considering this plan. Klaus might give himself up to keep the rest of the Mikaelsons safe from The Hollow, especially his precious daughter Hope (Summer Fontana).

Meanwhile, "The Originals" has been renewed by The CW for a fifth season, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"The Originals" season 4 airs every Friday night at 8 EDT on The CW.
