Caitlyn (Danielle Panabaker) transforms into Killer Frost in episode 7 of "The Flash." Killer Frost has a new costume for season 3, and so does Vibe a.k.a. Cisco (Carlos Valdes).
In the upcoming seventh episode of "The Flash" season 3 — titled "Killer Frost" — Caitlyn will be forced to use her frost powers, and this will trigger her transformation into Killer Frost.
According to the synopsis released by Den of Geek, "Caitlin uses her powers to save Barry (Grant Gustin) but as her mother predicted, the effort unleashes her inner Killer Frost. Killer Frost goes on a rampage looking for Dr. Alchemy, kidnapping Julian (Tom Felton) and battling both The Flash and Vibe. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and H.R. (Tom Cavanagh) have a heart to heart talk."
There are speculations that Caitlyn will become a villain with her new frost powers, but it is still possible that she is just going through a phase of struggling to control her abilities.
Panabaker shared that like Barry — who struggled at first how to learn and use his powers — Caitlin will undergo a similar phase. She added that her character will also need to figure out how to use her frost powers without fully turning into her Killer Frost persona.
Since Killer Frost will be reintroduced in episode 7, her new costume will be shown, hopefully along with the Vibe's since she will be battling both him and the Flash. In the feature "Behind the Seams" for "The Flash" season 3, the Killer Frost costume looked very different from the one seen in season 2.
Her first costume consisted of a corset top, leather pants, and a black coat. In "Behind the Seams," the costume for Killer Frost was a one-piece suit along with the character's signature frost pendant.
The Vibe also had some changes made to his costume. His suit still consists of mostly red, but now entails black and gold details.
