Last season, Noah (Dominic West) sacrificed himself to keep Helen (Maura Tierney) from being blamed for Scott's (Colin Donnell) death. Even though they have love for each other, the two will not get back together and will both have new partners in season 3.

Season 3 will start from a time jump of three years, where Noah will meet his new love interest. A woman named Juliette Le Gall (Irene Jacob) is running from her own skeletons in the closet when she crosses paths with Noah, TV Guide reports. The said love interest will help Noah understand his personal issues in season 3 of "The Affair."

There are speculations that Noah and Helen are getting back together, but Tierney tells TV Guide, "For Noah, the marriage is over, and I don't think that there's even a lot of love existing there. For Helen, it's sort of turned into more of an obsession. ... And she has developed a sort of obsessive need for her ex-husband. She feels like that's going to solve all of her problems."

However, if Helen is latching onto Noah, it appears that she has moved on and found someone new in season 3. In an interview with Yahoo! Tierney says, "She has a boyfriend. She's with Vic, Dr. Ullah (Omar Metwally). They have an interesting relationship that is clear, but unclear at the beginning of the season. Everyone has moved on in a way."

Aside from these estranged lovers gaining new romances, their daughter in the series, Whitney, is also having a new love interest. TV Line reports that "Desperate Housewives" actor Jonathan Cake will enter the show as Furkat, a photographer from Booklyn. He then will become Whitney's boss and new love interest, which will be disapproved by her parents.

Season 3 of "The Affair" will tackle the unresolved events from the previous season. Fans will find out what happens after Noah offered himself as the suspect in Scott's death and who Joanie's real father is.

"The Affair" season 3 will premiere on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
