Mike (Patrick J. Adams) will soon make a decision about coming back to Pearson, Specter, Litt. Meanwhile, another lead in the series – Gabriel Macht, who plays Harvey Specter – is speculated to leave the show by the end of its sixth season.

Previously in "Suits" season 6, Mike has already gotten out of prison and has received an offer from Harvey to come back to the firm. After being convicted and sanctioned never to practice law ever again, Harvey offered him a consultant position at Pearson, Specter, Litt. Mike refused to take the offer, but Harvey didn't want to take no for an answer just yet, and asked the former to think about it a little longer.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, creator and showrunner Aaron Krosh said that Mike will be having a hard time trying to find a position that will enable him to work with the law and to help people who are in need, just like he said was the reason why he wanted to become a lawyer.

"When Mike brought it up to Rachel, he didn't know what he was going to do. Harvey isn't a guy that takes being said no to lightly or easily. That question has not been dropped. But it's a struggle for Mike, because when Mike gave that speech to the jury about having a gift and he was wasting it, he meant that stuff. He got out of prison early and he doesn't want to just go back to corporate law. He wants to try and help people," Krosh explained.

Gina Torres — who played Jessica Pearson — has exited the show in the midseason finale of "Suits" season 6, and according to FX News Call, Gabriel Macht is speculated to also leave the series soon.

If the rumors are true, Macht could leave "Suits" at the end of its sixth season. Macht will allegedly leave the show to be able to expand his reach in the industry and to be involved in more projects next year.

Because of the rumors, the producers of the show and Macht's camp are going through negotiations to come to a fair deal for both of the parties. But if the series gets picked up for a seventh season, it will be difficult for "Suits" to keep its ratings up if one of the lead actors who drives the story will be not be participating in the show.

"Suits" season 6 is expected to resume in January 2017.
