The much awaited second half of "Suits" season 6 will return in January next year. One of the things that fans are anticipating in the upcoming season is Specter Litt's decision regarding Robert Zane's (Wendell Pierce) merger offer.

Although the midseason finale was aired only a few weeks ago, a lot of viewers are already waiting for the return of the second half of "Suits" season 6. In previous seasons, the back seasons continued airing on the last week of January of the following year. Meghan Markle — who plays Rachel Zane — confirms this in one of her Instagram posts. In her photo, part of her caption was "The last six episodes of the season will air in January 2017."

The midseason finale left a lot of questions for the characters of "Suits." Mike (Patrick J. Adams) was offered to come back to the firm as a consultant but he's unsure of taking the offer. Louis (Rick Hoffman) has asked his new girlfriend Tara (Carly Pope) to marry him, but with a baby on the way that's not his, their relationship will be put to the test before marriage happens.

Now that Jessica (Gina Torres) has left the firm, Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis will have to work together to manage Specter Litt, which includes deciding over Robert Zane's merger offer.

According to executive producer Aaron Korsh in an interview with TV Line, they will be taking Robert's merger offer. But there's a possibility that the offer no longer stands, since the person Robert offered it to has already left the firm.

"Robert Zane is going to have to decide, and we're going to wonder: Is he going to keep this offer on the table, or is he not? And whether he keeps it on the table or doesn't, how are Louis and Harvey going to respond to that?" Krosh explained.

Is Robert's merger offer the one thing that can save Specter Litt from collapse? Or will Harvey and Louis find a way to save the firm without Robert's help?

"Suits" season 6 returns to TV screens in January 2017.
