"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is the much-awaited installment of Capcom's "Resident Evil" series, and word has spread that the game will have a Playstation VR exclusive prologue.

Much speculation has surrounded "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," and one recent rumor suggests that Capcom may have made an exclusive deal with Sony, a deal that would only allow PlayStation 4 users to access the VR version of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" on the first year of the game's release.

Though there's a virtual reality version of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," the game's full plot is playable on all platforms. What's more is that the VR prologues for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is not related to the game's main gameplay, which means gamers can still enjoy the whole main story even without trying out the VR version.

Additionally, fans speculate that the VR version for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" might just be a marketing scheme by Sony to add to the hype for their new VR headset.

On another note, a twitter post on "Resident Evil's" official Twitter account announced that the "Resident Evil 7: Kitchen" demo will be released this Oct. 13.

"Good news! The Resident Evil 7 #Kitchen demo will be available to download across EMEA territories for PlayStation VR from October 13th!" the post wrote.

Gamers in America will be able to access the "Resident Evil 7: Kitchen" demo as part of the "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" package that also comes with the PS VR Demo Disc. As for gamers in regions outside the U.S. such as Europe, Africa, and Asia, they might have to download "Resident Evil 7: Kitchen" from the internet instead.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be released on January 24, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game will come out with a deluxe version that will cost around $89 USD. The deluxe version will provide gamers with 3 bonus chapters and an enhanced gaming experience.
