Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) will successfully infiltrate a terrorist group that is keeping a group of people hostage, and to her surprise, she finds a familiar face in the unexpected crowd. Meanwhile, it is possible that Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis) has chosen the dark side and that she has been working with the terrorists for a while now.

In episode 3 of "Quantico" season 2 — titled "Stescalade" — Alex will be able to sneak into the terrorists' nest by disguising herself as one of them. Stescalade is a cryptonym used in the CIA which refers to the bugging — or at least the attempted bugging — of the New China News Agency in Havana by David Christ, who had help from his Office of Technical Security colleagues in 1960.

It seems that Alex and the others will be learning how to bug certain operations in the present while using their acquired skills in the terrorist group in the future.

According to ABC's press release of the upcoming episode synopsis (via The Reporter Times), "Alex will end up going undercover to infiltrate the terrorist group holding everyone hostage where she is shocked to discover not everyone is a stranger." It appears that Alex will be running into someone she trained with back at the Farm, but which group – the terrorist faction or the helpless hostages – this person belongs to is still uncertain.

Previously in "Quantico" season 2, Miranda was seen informing the terrorists that Alex has infiltrated their nest. Showrunner Josh Safran told Entertainment Weekly that Miranda is indeed working against Alex. He explains that at the beginning of the season, a lot of people have shown which side they are on, but not is everything as it seems.

"The question becomes, how did we get from there to here for Miranda? We're watching her in the Farm timeline and seeing that she is sort of trying to save the day, and here she is in the future, on the opposite side," shared Safran.

"Quantico" season 2 airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
