Everyone thought he was dead, but Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is alive and imprisoned in Yemen. His brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) is determined to break him out before anything happens to him.

In the official sneak peak of "Prison Break" season 5 released by Fox, Lincoln finds out that Mike is alive and lets Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) know by showing her a photograph of Mike taken inside a prison.

Mike is in Ogygia Prison in Yemen and C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar) finds out that he was hired to work under The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levan (ISIL), to help take down the government. Lincoln, along with Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), T-bag (Robert Knepper), and C-Note, take on the mission of getting Mike out of Yemen.

Miller revealed that "Prison Break" season 5 is not focused only one prison, but the whole country itself. There will be different forces at play that will hinder Mike and Lincoln's escape, whether its inside the Ogygia or outside of Yemen.

Purcell has been posting photos on his Instagram account that are speculated to be teasers on how he will be getting Mike out of prison. In one of his posts, he shows off a tattoo on his arm of a compass with a few words and symbols surrounding it.

The photo lead to speculations that Lincoln will be using his tattoo to get around Yemen into Ogygia, similar to how Mike used the tattoo on his back to get Lincoln out of Fox River State Penitentiary.

"Prison Break" season 4 ended with an airtight finale, with Michael sacrificing himself to save Sara and ended up dying from his brain tumor. But according to Chairman and CEO of Fox Television Group Dana Walden, season 5 will show "a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world," reported by Deadline.

The show's fifth season will be a 10-episode series that picks up after a time jump of several years.

"Prison Break" season 5 premieres in 2017 on Fox.
