'Pokemon Z' release date: Sugar Bowl ad may announce info

 The Pokemon Company

The Pokemon Company will be releasing a Super Bowl ad this February and fans are speculating that this will be the time the franchise will give more light on the upcoming "Pokemon Z," even possibly a release date.

According to Adweek, Pokemon has announced that it will be releasing a commercial in Super Bowl 50 happening on Feb. 7, 2016 to celebrate the 20th year anniversary of the company. Although there were no details given on what the ad would be promoting, many Pokemon fans are optimistically building on the theory that this could be the time that the franchise gives more information on "Pokemon Z."

With the 20th year celebration of the company, the brand has prepared a wide range of surprises and treats for the fans and supporters, including releases of Pokken Tournament, Pokemon GO, and re-releases of Pokemon Red, Green and Blue.

Pokemon and developer Game Freak have been very quiet about a release date for "Pokemon Z," but many are speculating that the game should be released at the same time as "Pokemon Go" which, according to Pokemon's website, will be happening this 2016.

"Pokemon Z" will be the company's latest game franchise release of the series including "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y." The past two games focused on two legendary Pokemon- "Pokemon X" focusing on Xernas and "Pokemon Y" focusing on Yvetal. The upcoming "Pokemon Z" instalment will be about another legendary Pokemon, Zygarde.

The Pokemon franchise also announced that they will be launching a #Pokemon20 campaign that will encourage fans to share their favourite Pokemon memories on social media. In addition, the company will also have a "Pokemon Day" this upcoming Feb. 27, 2016 where fans can attend special anniversary events in retailers.

On Pokemon day, the company will also be making best-selling Pokémon amiibo interactive figures of Charizard, Jigglypuff, Greninja, and Lucario available again.
