The China-based mid-range smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus, has announced that the OnePlus X Champagne edition will soon be available in markets outside of its home country.

In a forum post celebrating their second anniversary, OnePlus announced the good news that the OnePlus X Champagne edition, which is a derivative of the Onyx, will soon be available in countries aside from China. The all-new OnePlus X variation will first go into Europe, and will enter other markets shortly after.

"We'll be rolling out this white and gold version of the OnePlus X in Europe, with other markets to follow very soon," OnePlus said in the blog post. "The Champagne edition will be sold during our weekly open sales on a first-come, first-served basis."

The company adds that the Champagne edition will be sold at their weekly open sale at a first-come, first-served basis, however, OnePlus will still honour OnePlus X invites that were previously sent out. OnePlus has also revealed that the company is working on a documentary that will tell their story.

The OnePlus X sports a 5-inch display with 1080p Full HD resolution and a display density of 441 PPI. The screen is an Active Matrix OLED type and is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.3 GHz Quad-core CPUs and Qualcomm Adreno 330 GPUs.

The smartphone is also equipped with a 13 megapixel rear-end camera and a 8 megapixel front-facing selfie shooter. Software-wise, OnePlus has a company-built OxygenOS which is based on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop by Google.

The OnePlus X Champagne is available in White and Gold versions, and will be sold at CNY 1,499 or approximately $230. OnePlus also offers OnePlus X in an Onyx and Ceramic variant, and gives users the option to avail of either a Bamboo, Karbon, Black Apricot, Rosewood or Sandstone casing.
