OnePlus 4 release date, specs news: amazing specs packed into "Flagship Killer"

OnePlus 3, current flagship phone available OnePlus

Chinese smartphone developer OnePlus has released a couple of flagship phones that never ceases to impress its users.

The Chinese phone lineup packs a lot of high-end features for a mid-range priced phone, making the upcoming OnePlus 4 a highly-awaited device in the market.

Earlier this year, the Chinese company released the OnePlus 3, a phone that brought the company much success, leading OnePlus fans to speculate that the upcoming OnePlus 4 will be as successful as its predecessor.

The OnePlus 4 is rumored to come with unique features such as an OLED pressure sensitive screen that will go against Apple and Samsung's AMOLED displays. The new Chinese device is said to come out with a 5.5-inch display capable of 4K viewing. The phone's display will sport a 4096 x 2160 screen resolution that is said to be powered by a quad core 3.0 GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm kryo processor along with 8 GB of RAM.

The OnePlus 4 is also speculated to come out in three variants that differ in storage memory ranging from 32 GB to 128 GB. However, some rumors suggest that the new OnePlus phone will be coming out with an expandable memory of up to 256 GB.

A powerful camera is one thing that fans can also expect from the OnePlus 4, especially since it is rumored to come out of the box with a 23-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

Another thing that might be upgraded in the upcoming OnePlus phone is the battery. The OnePlus 4 is said to sport a large capacity 4000 mAh battery pack that will even be capable of wireless charging.

As for the OnePlus 4's release date, the Chinese company's release trend suggest that the new device might come to the market mid 2017, but other rumors suggest that OnePlus 4 might get an early 2017 release in attempt to go against the Samsung Galaxy S8, HTC 11, and LG G6 that will be having an early 2017 release as well.
