The Nintendo NX is one gaming console that players have been highly anticipating, and rumors are suggesting that the console might be launched late this October.
The Nintendo NX has been kept under the radar for quite some time, and there hasn't been any official release date announced as of now. Though there isn't that much information about Nintendo's new console, it is said to be somewhat of a hybrid console that is a mix of a portable device and a docking station.
It is speculated that the Nintendo NX will allow its users to play games in handheld mode as well as in console mode, therefore taking gaming to a whole new level.
Furthermore, the Nintendo NX is rumored to come with detachable controllers and is equipped with the NVIDIA Pascal Tegra. What's more is that the new Nintendo console is rumored to be able to produce a 4K display along with HDR features that will ensure gamers have an immersive gameplay experience.
The Nintendo NX is also speculated to be more flexible when it comes to porting both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games since the console is said to support Unreal Engine 4 as well as other new game engines.
As for the console's release, it is rumored to be launched during the Nintendo Direct's 5th year anniversary. Nintendo Direct is Nintendo's online website — released back in 2011 — that will be celebrating its 5th year in the industry this Oct. 21.
Though fans were delighted to hear about the unofficial news that Nintendo might be launching the Nintendo NX later this month, reports say that the Japanese company might still stick to a later 2017 release.
As of now there still isn't any official news from Nintendo regarding the Nintendo NX's release date and price, but speculations surrounding the console suggest that if the Nintendo NX is going to be released sometime in 2017, the console might be available for pre-orders by Dec. 31 with a price tag of $450 USD.
