For "Narcos" season 3, showrunners Jose Padilha and Eric Newman are speculated to continue the show under DEA Agent Javier Pena's perspective since Escobar has been killed.

The photo shows Javier Pena standing in front of a crowd with the U.S. emblem on the background. The agent looks like he is preparing to make an announcement.
Speculations suggest that Pena might be announcing their successful takedown of the Medellin drug cartel leader, Pablo Escobar. However, other rumors suggest that the DEA agent might be announcing the uprising of a new drug cartel in place of the Medellin, therefore suggesting a new opponent in the Colombian drug war.
