A new female badass might be joining Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) in the next season of the series. Meanwhile, will Trish transform into another superhero?

"Jessica Jones" is a Marvel series that revolves around an anti-heroine trying to redeem herself as a superhero by opening a detective agency and taking on cases that involves people with special abilities. The series highlights the strength of women across different issues, and there are talks that another female badass will be joining Jessica and her best friend in season 2.

In the upcoming Marvel series "The Defenders," a lot of the comic superheroes are bound to come together. The group will be made up of Jessica Jones, Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). Production for the show has begun, and the different worlds of these heroes are already starting to intertwine.

Coming Soon reports that production for "The Defenders" has begun, and one of the set photos reveal Jessica meeting Misty Knight (Simmone Missick). However, the meeting looks like an unpleasant one because Misty is holding a gun, which is pointed at Jessica. The anti-heroine also has blood all over her.

There have been talks that Misty will also be joining the rest of the heroes in "The Defenders," but it is also possible that Misty will be visiting Hell's Kitchen, where she will stumble upon Jessica.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that Trish Walker will be turning into another superhero in "Jessica Jones" season 2.

CBR reports that there were a lot of hints in season 1 that indicated that Trish will turn into Hellcat. In the comic series, the real name of the Hellcat heroine is Patricia "Patsy" Walker, which is also Trish's real name in the hit Netflix show.

Taylor shared that her character wants to contribute something to the world the way Jessica does, and that she would be happy to portray a superheroine on the show.

"It would be amazing. I mean, it's already a privilege to play a history that has so much lineage within the Marvel Universe. And to take it that one step further is something that, yeah, I'd love to get my teeth stuck into whatever happens to the character," said Taylor.

"Jessica Jones" season 2 is expected to debut in 2018 on Netflix.
