The iPad Mini 4 received high praises from tech reviewers for its displays, which are considered to be much better than many other Apple products.

According to the Motley Fool, the display on some of the latest Apple flagships failed to compete with the color accuracy that the iPad Mini 4 sports. The results are based on DisplayMate's tests on the iPad Mini 4, comparing it with the latest smartphone releases the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6s Plus.

DisplayMate says that the iPad Mini 4 has finally qualified as a "mini version" of Apple's full-sized tablets stating that the previous versions of the mini-tablets failed to achieve an adequate color gamut rating, color saturation, and reflectance.

The iPad Mini 4 clocks in a 2 percent reflectance, much better than the 5 to 6.5 percent that older models gave, which gives better contrast to images displayed on the device.

The Apple iPad Mini 4 has 7.9-inch display with 2,048 x1,536 pixel resolutio, 326 pixels per inch density and an LED backlit display. The tablet also comes with a fingerprint sensor for security and access to Apple pay for transactions, and is powered by Apple's in-house processor, the A8 chip. The fourth generation iPad Mini is also 0.13 inches taller than the iPad mini 3 and 0.05 inches thinner.

International Business Times reports that the iPad Mini 4 saw 92,500 units sold in it's biggest market in China in the first four weeks after its introduction. Though the number fails to match the 557,500 units of the Apple iPad Air 2 shipped in the same length after the launch, it has done better than the 49,000 sold units of the iPad Pro.

The Apple iPad Mini 4 is available and can be purchased in three variations- a 16-gigabyte model that costs $399, a 64-gigabyte model that costs $499 and a 128-gigabyte model that costs $599. The iPad Mini 4 was released in Sept. 2015.
