While the Keating Five tries to live a normal law student life when season 3 returns, they will once again have to deal with a new murder mystery. At the same time, Annalise (Viola Davis) goes head to head with the President of Middleton University to keep her position and reputation intact.

The Keating Five – Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch), Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee), Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King), Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry), and Laurel Castillo (Karla Souza) – will be struggling to regain control of their lives by living like a normal law student in Middleton University.

This will not be an easy task because a new murder mystery will be revealed at the season premiere of "How to Get Away With Murder" season 3, TV Line reports. Series creator Peter Nowalk refused to reveal any details about this new murder mystery, but he confirmed that it will be revealed in the first episode of the upcoming season.

In the season 3 promo, flyers with Annalise's face and the word "KILLER" in bold letters were plastered all over the university. Because of this incident, speculation points that Annalise will face the President of Middleton University and try to secure her position and reputation as a professor.

Nowalk explains, "She needs to get her s–t together and go back and refocus on what her original passions were. That also means trying to get the Keating Five to care about school again. There's a real feeling of, 'Let's get back to normal and move on.' And we'll see if that's possible."

The "Dexter" star Luna Vélez was cast as the said university president. Her character name was not revealed, but the character is described as "self-assured, friendly, warm and diplomatic."

In "How to Get Away With Murder" season 3, while the Keating Five gets caught up in the season's new murder mystery, Connor's boyfriend — Oliver Hampton (Conrad Ricamora) — becomes part of the gang's crime-solving sessions. In season 2, Oliver deleted Connor's acceptance letter from Stanford so the former can keep working for Annalise.

Nowalk confirms that Conrad will be a series regular in season 3. "Oliver has a new lease on life... not only meeting Connor, but also his HIV-positive diagnosis. All of it has made him look at his life and say, 'What do I really want?' He wants a little bit more excitement. He wants to feel passionate about his job. He doesn't want to be bored," Nowalk tells TV Line.

"How to Get Away With Murder" season 3 premieres Thursday, Sept. 22, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
